Astrology gives you the map of the road you are taking or about to take. This gives you an awareness of what is coming up, so you can then be conscious and informed rather than making your way blindly.
It is always best to know what is ahead of you, then you can plan your life accordingly, making a plan to rise above the challenges or at least be prepared before they play out.
