Module One: Certificate in Relaxation Massage
Anyone can learn the Art of Relaxation Massage
Beginners 10 weeks 2 x hours in class per week
Relaxation Massage is a practical, thorough & very well structured .
You will learn the basic strokes the first evening, and every week builds upon the skills you develop until you have a thorough and well grounded understanding & practise of basic massage.
Each evening one section of the body is studied 'hands-on', and the correct methods of massage for that section are taught.
Manual and workbook included.
What to bring:
Notebook & pen
Inside shoes or house socks
Personal water bottle
2x single bed fleece blankets , two throws & 2 Small Hand Towels
Antiseptic Wipes and Antiseptic hand gel.
Course Structure
Week 1: Introduction to Massage / Basic Massage Strokes & Techniques, Environment, Conduct & Working Materials, what is required for massage class.
Week 2: Back of Legs, Calves , Thighs, and Buttocks.
Week 3: Back.
Week 4: Shoulders, neck and head.
Week 5: Feet and fronts of legs.
Week 6. Stomach, chest and arms.
Week 7. Face.
Week 8. Revision back half of the body.
Week 9: Revision front half of the body.
Week 10: Final assessment practical 1/1/2 hour full body massage.
Anatomy level 4 is required.
Current First Aid Certificate required
Practitioner Assessments and final Examination to follow (practical)
Must be a registered practitioner NZBW& EP Incorp
Certificate in Relaxation Massage Achieved on pass of all requirements
